I want to give you some advice on how you can enjoy your time working in your internet marketing business.  This is how to best employ your time and we all know that time management is important.

The first thing is that you treat it as a business and this will help you a great deal. This is the place where you eventually want to make your living. You maybe only working there part time at the moment but you are looking at eventually giving up your day “job” in favor of working full time online.

Always be positive – associate with positive people. If something does go wrong, fix it up and move on. Do not feel defeated but just progress forward.

Always write your plans down both long term and short term and even what you want to accomplish every week then break it down to what you want to achieve every day. This will help you to stay focused. Know how long it is going to take. It is much more powerful to write these goals down and see yourself achieving them. Pick one project at a time. This will allow you greater focus.

You will never achieve unless you are prepared to take action. Without action you will never move forward.

Select times when you check you emails and skype messages – unless you are waiting for a particular answer. I suggest first thing in the morning and before you close down are great times. Staying in skype chat rooms can be a great time waster. Another place that you can waste precious time is in forums. Forums are a great place to ask questions and get help but you can get caught there and the time will just fly. So I would suggest that the maximum time in a forum is 30 minutes a day.

Always ensure that you take breaks away from your computer. Get up and stretch every hour and make sure that you drink a lot of water. Water helps to flush out any toxins that can accumulate in your system. Avoid sodas because they are full of sugar and apart from helping add to your weight, they are not good for you.

What are the benefits of giveaways? Why join a giveaway?

There are a few benefits to joining a giveaway in your niche. You want to build your list and giveaways can be a great place to start. You can also win cash prizes if you get the most subscribers or JV partners.

The basic giveaway allows you to give away one gift but you can pay an up grade fee and giveaway up to five gifts. The reason to up grade is that it gives you and your products more exposure. The number of visitors depends on the quality of the product you are offering. This is where good graphics and a good title and description of your gift will attract subscribers.

Word of warning here. Never upload a PLR product up as is, on a giveaway. If you are considering using PLR, always read the license agreement to see if you can give it away.  If you are going to use a PLR, you have to rewrite at least sixty percent of the book. Get new graphics and always change the title. Most PLR books are full of spelling and grammar mistakes and people who go to giveaways do not want to see the same product over and over. If you use PLR, without massive changes, you will ruin your reputation.

There is always conjecture whether the subscribers who get you free product will ever become buyers. There are so many free products available on a giveaway that some people just take the free gifts and immediately unsubscribe. However, it is an easy way to start building your list.

Most internet giveaways are geared around the Internet Marketing niche but there are also some on health and self improvement and these are very popular niches. You must have the appropriate product for that particular niche. So if you really want to enter these niches, create you own product and see how you go.

If you want to join a giveaway, all you have to do is type “giveaways” in your browser and you will see what is available. Once you join one giveaway, you will often be sent invitations to others. This giveaway starts on March 28 and ends on April 15, so you still have time to create your product and enter.

Christmas is nearly here again so I want to take some time to reflect on this year as far as my internet marketing has gone.

Well I am not as advanced as I thought I would have been – to be very honest. Have I made any money – to be honest, I have probably spent more than I have made. I am looking to be more consistent with the income side of the equation in the near future. I have certainly learnt more this year and I know that my knowledge will continue to grow. I joined Internet Business Code X and I am going to remain a member there because I know I still have a lot to learn.

So it has definitely been a mixed year. I arrived back from the US in the middle of January and started an advanced course with a coach in the UK. Unfortunately his daughter became very ill and he quit coaching. I knew that I need to find a new coach and I had been in a few chat rooms with Gary Simpson and then he told us he was in the process of getting a coaching course up and running with Garry Parkes in the UK.

What a great course these guys have written. It is jammed packed with information and they have a forum where we all learn from one another. Anyone who has never done anything online would find this step be step course very user friendly.

If you do not know how to use a forum there are also videos provided that show you all you need to know. As far as the video tutorials go, there are also PDFs that you can print out.

The main thing with internet marketing is your mindset. You must have a very positive attitude and complete all the tasks in the course. There is always help – if not from your fellow members, there is a ticketing system available that is answered very quickly by either of the G men.

I know that next year I will be soaring and the money side is going to be more regular. I also know that I want to go on another overseas holiday and the money has to come from internet marketing. So onwards and upwards! So if you want success also why not join the IBCX course.

 

It has now been a week since I attended the Seminar.

How have things changed for me? Well, for one thing, I am being more productive. The trouble with so many of us is that we only do things we are comfortable doing. We like all our home comforts and going the extra mile is sometimes a little harder.

Each day, I have to set tasks for myself and each day I have to report in the evening if I have done them or not. You could say it is when push comes to shove. Obviously, I could break off all contact with the group and not set a daily goal but that is the fun part and achieving what you have set is paramount. You have to be entirely honest here because the only person who will benefit from this is yourself. It can be as small or large a task as you want it to be – there are no fixed rules as long as you do what you said you would do.

You have to make the commitment that this is a business and you have to treat it as such.

Look at yourself and see what is stopping you from achieving your goals. To achieve your goals, you have to be prepared to do what other people do not want to do. You have to put aside that feeling of comfortable and take massive ACTION. At least here we can still ask for help.

You have to make the decision that you want to take your business to the next level. You and you alone are responsible for your actions. I have made a massive decision that I have to forge ahead. I have to commit to doing more than the average because to be in that top 3% requires there are no reasons or excuses that you can make. Don’t allow any doubts or negatives to get in your way.

This is a serious business and you have to treat it that way. I have made the decision that now is the right time for me to be successful in the field on Internet Marketing.

I have just completed a three day seminar here on the Gold Coast that was all about networking. Nothing like being in your own city and be able to go home each night.

The seminar was organized by Brett McFall and this was a line up of the guess speakers. They had flown in from the UK, USA and Canada. The price of admission to the seminar was a donation to the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital. Terry, Bindy and Robert came down to receive the cheque for $40,000

It is a great cause and it surprised all of us when Terry said, that to run the Animal Hospital with a permanent staff of 20 and a volunteer staff of 90, costs them $2,500,000 per year. There is no help from the Government so it is totally run through the amount the public is prepared to donate.

So if you believe in this cause you could also give and help the animals.

The subject matter was very varied from social media to buying and selling on ebay but nearly every speaker there assured us that just a few short years ago most of them had attended a similar seminar. It was reassuring to hear that and realize how far some of them had come in a few short years. They all agreed that they took ACTION.

Just wandering around in the breaks and talking to fellow attendees, I wondered if people really accepted the commitment to work needed to get their own business up and running. After all isn’t that what we all want here – we are after a successful business. Some of the comments made me realize that there were people who had no idea – just looking for the “push button” method. I didn’t want to be the one to shatter their dreams.

Some people forget that this is a business – not just a website but a business and you have to be prepared to work in your business.

There were people who had never done anything online while others were seasoned pros.

Brett opened the proceedings and he had some great information. One question he posed was “What if it doesn’t work?”  But then counteract that with “What if it does? “

So now I am back and I am ready to work to achieve all that I want to achieve. If it is to me, it is up to me.

As an internet marketer, you will need a list if you are going to sell information or a product. The information can be in the form of reports, newsletters, MP3, videos or ebooks.

These are some tips and facts you should know to help you get and maintain your list.

1. Make sure that you have a good clean website with good unique content.  By this I mean, make it appealing to the eyes of your visitor. If it is cluttered and the content is poor, the visitor will click off very quickly. You have less than 3 seconds to impress your visitor.

2. If you want to give a free product away on your blog, have your opt-in box in at the top of the right hand side bar, in a prominent position. Again make it a “clean” looking opt-in, where you tell you visitors they can get their free download.

3. Always aim for your target market. This means if you have a blog on internet marketing, you do not offer a free book on how to lose weight. They may sign up to your list but the moment they find that they do not want this product, they will quickly unsubscribe. Give the customer what they are expecting.

4. Once a customer signs up to your list, you can in a few days send them a follow up email to see if all the questions they had were covered. This is the beginning of building trust in your relationship with the people on your list. By building trust you will be able in the future, sell to them over and over again.

5. If you really want to increase your list at a faster pace, go on the appropriate forum for whatever niche you are in, and offer a free book that could help people on that forum. It could even be a simple report that answers some of the questions that the members are asking.

6. Again on the forum, you can offer to do an ad swap. You can also go to adswap sites and do an adswap – again for a free product. This is not hard to do because on all adswap sites there are people with larger and smaller list. The great thing about these sites you pick adswaps only in your own niche.

7. Another method of getting people to visit your site and sign up is through writing articles.  There are always people searching for articles and blogs on various subjects.

What courses are available to study at home? There are so many courses it would be impossible to lists or assess them all. There are courses on how to become a gardener or how to trade currency or some of the most popular are simply titled “How to make money from home”.  This can cover a lot of topics but if you are interested in a particular subject, it will not be too hard to find a course on the one of your choice.

The majority of people who sign up for a home study course want to do the course at their own pace and not be confined to a classroom/teaching atmosphere. There are some people who know that they can, with a little studying, learn to make some extra money from the comfort of their own home.  With computers, today, you can study from home but it would be preferable to study with a teacher/mentor to guide you. This can be done through a video course, an ebook course or a live webinar once a week.

If you have never done anymore on your computer, than occasionally surf the net using your favorite search engine or you send a few emails, you have to really ask yourself-what is the best place for me to start? Don’t fall for a lot of advertising hype telling you that it is easy to make thousands of dollars in the first few months.

If you want to learn how to make money on the internet- how do you know what course to pick? I would suggest you look very carefully and review several courses to see if you can ascertain how good each one is.  There are some very good courses on internet marketing available.  There are some very committed teachers who have written their own courses and present them in a logical fashion that allows you to learn and follow what they are doing. They set the foundations of your online business and without strong foundations; you could be doomed to failure.

So if you are reviewing a course, look at the remarks left by former students because most courses are accompanied by testimonials. See what each offers and how long it will take you to complete and how do you pay for it. Some students like to pay a monthly fee while others are happy to pay up front. All courses should tell you how to pay for it and that sometimes is why people choose that particular course.  Take the one that you believe will offer you exactly what you are looking for.

Internet Marketing is evolving at a rapid rate and if you are an internet marketer, you have to move forward with the new wave and that is – video marketing and mobile telephones. These are two of the fastest ways to advertise any product or service. The statistics are that 85% of people will answer a text message on their phone within 20 minutes. I tend to believe that email marketing will soon become a thing of the past. The reason I say this, because as you are all aware, how many email remain unopened in your own inbox? Most of us just delete emails if we do not see a good captivating subject line or we know the sender.

The benefits of using video as a marketing tool are many. The majority of people are too lazy to read and would prefer to watch a video. It is a much quicker way to give people more information in a shorter space of time. Video is a great media for introducing yourself, your company, your brand and also your services and products. People want to see images and learn some of the background information about you and your company. It is a fast way to build trust between you and them.

A point of caution – if you are going to start marketing using video, always keep your message short. Like any other form of marketing, you want to keep people’s attention. A short video will allow you to get your message across very quickly.

As I have told people before, this is the “instant” age. There are “instant” meals; “instant” coffee and now we can get “instant” information.  We want everything delivered at warp speed. If we go to Google and type in a search, we want the information – NOW. If given the choice of reading a report or a book on our search subject, we will opt to watch the video. It is a much faster way to obtain the information.

Think of how YouTube has taken off in the last few years. People love looking at the videos there. So if this is indicative of how people prefer to “see” information rather than “read” it; it stands to reason, a video marketing campaign could deliver you much more traffic.
