You need to get the right hosting for your business. What you must know before signing up to a host that you have 3 main things.

“Unlimited bandwidth, Unlimited Disk Space and Support”

In case you do not know what is unlimited bandwidth or unlimited disk, let me explain it to you.

Bandwidth is the amount of data you need when people come to your website, download your products, or watch your videos.

You are never sure how many visitors may want to access your site and if you exceed your bandwidth your site will disappear.

This happened to me when I had one of my site hosted on a private server. I was not sure when it went down but after I contacted the host, it took him only a few minutes to fix it – but potentially I could have missed visitors or the worst case scenario – lost a sale. He had to increase my bandwidth.

So now you can see why when you are signing with a hosting company you must get UNLIMITED BANDWIDTH because this will guarantee that you can grow your business and you will not suffer the same fate I did.

The next feature is UNLIMITED DISK space. Unlimited disk space is the amount of space available on your host server where your website is housed.

When you sign with a hosting company, you agree on the amount of disk space available for you to use.

What happens if you do not sign up for UNLIMITED disk space?

Let me tell you……

You are merrily going on and you decide to add more content or you may even considering monetizing your site and CRASH. You suddenly realize there is no more space available to you.

Now….What can you do?

You basically have to find a new host that has Unlimited disk space and then load your files on their server.

Now I am not the most technical person and I have been told by people that are much more tech savvy than me – this can be a pure nightmare.

So do yourself a BIG favor in the beginning and ensure your host will provide UNLIMITED DISK space.

The third feature that you must have is SUPPORT. This is so important when you are starting out. You need support to be available 24/7 and 365 days a year.

You should be able to contact them by email, phone and live chat.

If something goes wrong you need to be able to contact them and get it fixed as soon as possible.

One of my sites got hacked once and the hosting company recreated the index page for me that was causing the problem. That would have been far too technical for me but they fixed it within about 15 minutes.

It does not matter at what hour I contact my hosting company there are always people there to help and support me.
